Austen’s novels contain an elegant state of social criticism of the community in which she lived because they touch on women’s place and outlook. She utilizes an ironic humor while creating her heroines. Especially, Emma Woodhouse and Elizabeth Bennet represent both the voice and the view of the author herself and the middle class women. We can see also a depiction of national tradition in her works.
